Terms of service

Ontarí'io sells printed and embroidered apparel online. Orders are produced and dispatched from Mississauga, Ontario. You can reach us at hello@ontariio.com.

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we begin production, and we may decline any order — for example where an item is unavailable, a price or description was published in error, or we cannot deliver to the address given.

Because production begins shortly after payment, an order cannot reliably be changed or cancelled once placed. Write to us immediately and we will help if the item has not yet gone to print.

Every item is printed or embroidered after you order it. Nothing is held in stock. This is why we cannot accept returns or exchanges for size, colour, or change of mind, and why we ask you to check the fit before ordering. Faulty and misprinted items are a separate matter and are covered in the returns policy.

Prices are in Canadian dollars and include shipping within Canada. Taxes, where applicable, are shown before you pay. We may change prices at any time, but the price you are shown at checkout is the price you pay for that order.

Payment is processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. Your card statement will show a descriptor that includes ONTARIIO.

We ship within Canada only. Delivery is typically two to four business days after dispatch, but these are estimates rather than guarantees and carrier delays are outside our control. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery. If a parcel does not arrive, tell us and we will pursue it.

We describe garments and colours as accurately as we can, but screens differ and fabric varies between production runs. Slight variation in shade, and in how a print sits on textured or heathered cloth, is normal and is not a defect.

The designs, wordmarks, photographs, and text on this site belong to us or are used with permission, and may not be reproduced commercially without our written consent.

Ontarí'io is a word from the Wendat language. We claim no ownership of the word itself, of the language, or of any Indigenous cultural heritage — only of our particular typographic treatment of it. There is more on the name.

Don't use this site unlawfully, attempt to disrupt it, or place fraudulent orders. We may refuse service or cancel orders where we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights under applicable consumer protection law. Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction.

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here when you place your order, and the date above tells you when it last changed.
